Overview
The Luminus Network for New Americans, formerly FIRN, provides programs and direct services to support immigrants, refugees, asylees, asylum seekers and all new and first-generation Americans access community resources and opportunities. The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for managing and growing our digital platforms, drafting newsletters, and nourishing the community of Luminus stakeholders.
Summary
The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for sharing the Luminus narrative, ensuring the accuracy and efficient dissemination of information across digital platforms and other communicative mediums. The ideal candidate must be outcomes driven, capable of considering the effectiveness of each effort, campaign, and letter as well as identify program opportunities for core Luminus programs that would generate resources for revenues according to market conditions and audience demands. The ideal candidate must be an effective internal collaborator and partner as they will work with the senior team on listening for positive stories and getting them out to the community.
In addition, they will:
- Manage social media components including Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to write fresh content about our work.
- Serve as the main content manager for Luminus social media accounts, create content, and execute and track all Luminus social media activities.
- Support the marketing of our programs to key stakeholders, participants, and others.
- Identify and develop high ROI programs with media, marketing partners and external properties that drive partner and consumer engagement.
- Utilize Salesforce and support its adoption by staff in relation to marketing and outreach
- Strengthen organizational branding and ensure consistency across all communications
- Evaluate marketing analytics and adjust forecasts accordingly

- Create videos for social media campaigns, blog posts, and web pages.
- Maintain the quality of the website, including reviewing all content regularly, developing and adhering to processes for updating content, and assisting in identification of content update needs.
- Produce and analyze monthly analytic reports for social media campaigns and provide them along with recommendations for adjustments.
- Track and analyze SEO data to provide effective solutions for content optimization.
- Support event preparation and content marketing for events.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and database management
- Social media and graphic design experience – design and posting images, videos, and stories
- Experience in social media platforms and database systems
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in public speaking and outreach
- Bilingual/multilingual candidates preferred
