Congratulations Delegate-elect Gabriel Moreno

Columbia MD – Jan 8, 2026 – The Luminus Network, the leading nonprofit provider of immigration legal services in central Maryland, today congratulates Gabriel Moreno, Esq., nominee for Delegate in Maryland’s District 13, who is transitioning from his role as Luminus CEO following his appointment being advanced to Governor Wes Moore for approval.

Nominee Moreno served as Luminus’ CEO for two and a half years, leading the organization into a period of financial and operational stability and growth while assembling a solid and committed staff team. “My greatest accomplishment at Luminus wasn’t what I built, but who I built it with,” Moreno said. “The work of supporting and advocating for our immigrant community is more vital today than ever before. I am so grateful to our exceptional board and staff who will ensure Luminus continues to be a beacon of hope and support for those who need it most.”

“We are proud to congratulate Gabe on his appointment to the House of Delegates,” said Luminus Board of Directors chairman Reggie Hightower, “and know that he will continue his work of advocating for the community.”

The Luminus Board will announce an interim CEO shortly and will commence conducting a search for the most qualified candidate to lead Luminus going forward. “We have utmost faith in the team Gabe assembled,” Hightower added, “we know Luminus is in very good hands.”
