Luminus celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Community

Cinco de Mayo is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a celebration of Mexican heritage and culture that resonates worldwide. At Luminus, we cherish the diversity within our community, and Cinco de Mayo provides a perfect opportunity to honor the contributions and richness of Mexican culture. Join us as we delve into the festivities and share the joy with our Mexican friends, coworkers and clients.

The Significance of Cinco de Mayo: Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day (which is celebrated on September 16th). Instead, it commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. This historic event symbolizes resilience, unity, and the strength of the Mexican spirit.

Embracing Diversity at Luminus: At Luminus, diversity is more than just a buzzword; it’s a fundamental aspect of who we are. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected, regardless of their background. Our Mexican friends, coworkers, and clients play an integral role in shaping our vibrant community, enriching it with their unique perspectives and experiences.

Acknowledging Our Partnerships: We are grateful for the relationships we’ve built with our Mexican clients, coworkers and partners. Their trust, collaboration, and unwavering support fuel our success and inspire us to reach greater heights together. Cinco de Mayo serves as a reminder of the importance of these connections and the value they bring to our community.

Looking to the Future: As we revel in the festivities of Cinco de Mayo, we also reflect on the work that lies ahead. At Luminus, we remain committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do. We strive to create a future where every voice is heard, every culture is celebrated, and every individual thrives.

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
